The Ontario CCA board recognizes the immense amount of talent and dedication of its members who have only recently attained their CCA-ON. To acknowledge the contribution of these individuals’ efforts to the agriculture industry, we are putting out a call for nominations for the 1st ever CCA-ON Emerging Leader.

The 2023 winner was Saveetha Kandasamy. Congratulations Saveetha! The award was presented by Brian Coutts from the CCA-ON Marketing Committee at the 2024 Conference and AGM.

Innovation Award

New in 2023!

The CCA Innovation Award is designed to recognize an individual, group or organization who has demonstrated significant innovation or research within the crop advising field. We are defining “innovation” as a novel advancement or practice that has had significant adoption or impact in Ontario crop production. A nomination can be initiated by a customer, employer, peer, or other associate.

The winner of the Innovation Award will receive $1000, along with a commemorative plaque.

The first Innovation Award was presented to Rob Miller at the 2024 Conference and AGM. Congratulations Rob! The award was presented by Chris Roelands from Honeyland Ag Services.

Award of Excellence

The CCA Award of Excellence is designed to recognize a crop adviser who delivers exceptional customer service, is highly innovative, has shown that they are a leader in their field, and has contributed substantially to the exchange of ideas and the transfer of agronomic knowledge within the agriculture industry. Anybody can make a nomination for a CCA to receive this award.

The winner of the CCA Award of Excellence will receive $1000 and an additional $1000 to be donated on their behalf to an agricultural charity of their choice, along with a commemorative plaque.

Leadership Scholarship Fund

New in 2023, open for applications!


The Leadership Scholarship Fund is a fund set up to assist CCAs in developing leadership skills through continuing education and training. This fund will be awarded to three CCA members per year to attend education courses.

To be eligible for the Ontario Certified Crop Advisor Leadership Scholarship Funds, the applicant:

  1. Must be a Canadian or permanent resident, residing in Ontario;
  2. must be a CCA in good standing;
  3. cannot be a previous recipient of the Ontario CCA Association Leadership Scholarship Funds;
  4. cannot be on the Ontario CCA Board of Directors.

The funds, up to $500.00, will be provided upon completion of a course as reimbursement for any incurred expenses.
